In celebration of this day, we are holding our annual Valentine's Day Ball. You will find many events have been set up for you and there is also a Roleplaying contest. Have fun with it all, you lot. The ball will end on the 28th of February at 11.59 pm, LA time.
For the sake of being rational, Manors and Houses are only available to Graduates while Apartments are only available to 3rd years and higher, however, students below that level can buy their very own Dorm room for a reasonable price.
Once you have bought a residence, it's yours and only yours! You can role-play in it, chat, invite friends and you even have the option of having roommates. Simply go to Customize>Give ownership and from there you can appoint a friend as the second owner of your living space. Keep in mind that even if you have second ownership of a residence, you can still have a residence of your own.
You have also have the ability to make your living space 'private', meaning that only you and the people you selected can access it and the areas within.*
You can achieve this by going to Customize>Set access privileges and specify who will be able to access your house. If you specify no-one, that means that everyone can access it.
Remember that all rules apply, so nothing above the PG-13 level is allowed and posting rules must not be broken.
Lastly, you can access your places by going to Your Preferences, under your Key Ring. If you happen to come across any errors or any kind of unexpected behaviour, feel free to report it here and it will be taken care of as soon as possible. Have fun!

It is that time again to announce the first RPotM for the year 2012. So hold on to your hat for here comes January.
There's never been a midnight stroll quite like this for this month's winning RP: 'Prefects, Foxes and Pranksters...oh my! in which Silas Cain finds himself running into a particularly foxy character, who is in fact Anelie Blair in her Animagus form, whilst on patrol. With Silas in his new found Prefect status and Anelie outside in very little, there's nothing much the Prefect can do but offer her his cloak when she reveals her true identity. An amusing story of two similarly minded students accidental meeting in the dead of night is definitely worth every minute spent reading it!
In this month's first runner up 'Look at the clouds... how carefree they are' Slytherin's Kasia Lisette and Hufflepuff's Scott Saevi's relationship has seemed to hit a small bump in the road. With Scott being a Prefect, Kasia is starting to feel like they don't get to spend any time together and though she is happy with his new position; she still has some negative feelings that linger. Right when the two finally get to spend some time together Derial Marycus interrupts their peace by casting a spell on Kasia and angering Scott. Only time will tell how this story plays out.
'Complicated' doesn't even begin to describe the relationship between Iljania Wal and Marcus Agustus as seen their terrific RP and this month's second runner-up: 'Reconciliation'. By now the events of the Yule Ball should have been washed away, but that's hardly the case as these two seek some resolution in their friendship, one that remains very important to the both of them, despite all that's gone on. Heart-warming and very real, this is not one to be missed!
If you had a year up in the last term break, please owl me so that I can fix that for you. And yes, I do have an idea about who got a year up or not so you can not use this as an way of getting a free year up.
Yes, welcome back. LA has been down and it appears that the back up is from a date in early October. As you can see, things a little bit messy right now. Classrooms have been emptied out but since I managed to break the house points there isn't any point in doing homework until it's fixed.
Sorry about this annoyance. Things should be back to normal with luck soon.
Just in case that some of you have not notice, yes LA is back online. Before you all get too happy and start celebrating, I would hold off posting any new threads around the site.
If you have keen eyes, you will notice that this backup we are using, at the moment, dates back to October 2011. We are now looking to find our more recent backup. Once it is found, it will not take up to update the site and be again in Jan, 2012.
So in the meantime, please be careful of what you post, if you have a need to post things, until we have more information for you all. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
